Some shapes and layers might be locked so that they cannot be resized however, you can unlock them. To use these shapes, on the Insert tab, click Callouts, and then choose from the callout shapes shown. Visio provides several shapes that are resized automatically based on their text. To make several shapes the same size, select the shapes, and on the View tab, select Task Panes > Size & Position, and then type new values in the Width, Height, or Length boxes. To resize a shape by typing a value, on the View tab, select Task Panes > Size & Position, and then in the Size & Position window, type new values in the Width, Height, or Length boxes. To resize a 1-dimensional (1-D) shape, such as a line, drag an endpoint to the length you want. Press Ctrl+Shift and right-click to zoom out.) If you can't see all 8 of them, zoom in until they appear so you can resize the shape more accurately. Tip: Each 2-D shape has 8 selection handles.
